Andrew Krieger, a resident of Tega Cay, South Carolina, and an associate band director at Nation Ford High School sadly passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at home. He was 31 years old at the time of his death. He was announced dead in a post that read “Kirk and I both so heartbroken over the passing of Andrew Krieger. Andrew was a student of Kirk’s starting him on oboe in middle school. He was such a loving and kind person. He will be greatly missed by all.”
Who was Andrew Krieger?
Christopher Curt Krieger and Katherine Curtis Krieger were the parents of Andrew Jonathan Krieger, who was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He earned a performance certificate in oboe while pursuing his undergraduate degree in music teaching at the University of South Carolina. He was a proud member of The Sons of the American Revolution and the brother of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
He worked as an associate band director at Nation Ford High School in the Fort Mill School District. He had a great sense of humor and loved to teach music, play golf, and make people laugh. He loved having all of his family and friends around and loved to cook and entertain them. For Andrew, spending time with his family came first.

The family is hosting a celebration of life from 4PM-6PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Wolfe Funeral Home. A gathering will be held at Hoppin’ RH on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 12-5PM.
